În această vară, am avut ocazia să găzduim timp de 30 de zile, 12 voluntari din tări precum Italia,Spania,Turcia,Iordania și România în cadrul proiectului UNITY – Universal Childhood Games, sub coordonarea asociației ANTER – Voluntariat pentru comunitate din Craiova.
Un proiect ambițios, dedicat sprijinirii copiilor și tinerilor refugiați afectați de război, dar și a celor care provin din medii defavorizate, cu ajutorul tinerilor locali. Acesta urmărește să crească conștientizarea asupra importanței unui cămin și a sentimentului de apartenență, esențiale pentru bunăstarea emoțională și integrarea în comunitate.
Pe parcursul acestor 30 de zile, voluntarii nostri au desfășurat activități interactive impreună cu copiii dar si workshop-uri in cadrul cărora cei mici au avut ocazia să iși construiască propria casă din materiale reciclabile. De asemenea, am lansat o campanie de conștientizare, cu scopul de a aduce în atenția comunității noastre necesitățile și provocările cu care se confruntă aceste categorii de copii. Este vital să le fim alături de și să contribuimla un viitor mai bun pentru ei.
Finalul acestui proiect a fost marcat de Expozitia Giant Dollhouse în cadrul căreia am expus aceste căsuțe iar oamenii din comunitatea arădeană au fost invitați să vadă până unde poate ajunge imaginația celor mici.
Proiectul reprezintă un exemplu excelent de solidaritate și acțiune comunitară în sprijinul celor vulnerabili care fac parte din societatea noastra. Prin intermediul acestui proiect, tinerii voluntari și organizațiile implicate contribuie activ la construirea unui viitor mai bun pentru copiii și tinerii refugiați, oferindu-le nu doar sprijin, ci și o speranță reală pentru un viitor mai sigur și mai luminos.

This summer, we had the opportunity to host for 30 days, 12 volunteers from countries such as Italy, Spain, Turkey, Jordan and Romania within the UNITY – Universal Childhood Games project, under the coordination of ANTER – Volunteering for the Community in Craiova.
An ambitious project dedicated to supporting refugee children and young people affected by war, as well as those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with the help of local young people. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of a home and a sense of belonging, essential for emotional well-being and community integration.
Throughout the 30 days, our volunteers carried out interactive activities with the children as well as workshops in which the little ones had the opportunity to build their own home out of recyclable materials. We also launched an awareness-raising campaign to bring to the attention of our community the needs and challenges faced by these groups of children. It is vital that we stand by their side and contribute to a better future for them.
The end of this project was marked by the Giant Dollhouse Exhibition where we exhibited the dollhouses and invited people from the Arad community to see how far the imagination of the little ones can reach.
The project is an excellent example of solidarity and community action in support of the vulnerable in our society. Through this project, young volunteers and the organizations involved are actively contributing to building a better future for refugee children and young people, giving them not only support, but also real hope for a safer and brighter future.
